Pakistan’s New Zealand white ball tournament was abruptly abandoned following a security threat.

Prior to Friday’s first ODI in Rawalpindi, players and support staff were told to stay in their hotel rooms, while spectators were not allowed to enter.

After a long delay, New Zealand Cricket released a statement confirming that the eight-match tournament was abandoned due to a security alert from the New Zealand government.
