John Corbett regrets being an actor
John Corbett has been an actor for more than three decades, but the actor’s life isn’t for him.
The Sex and the City star opened up about her frustrations on David Spade and Dana Carvey’s Fly on the Wall podcast, saying she regrets her decision to become an actor.
“Look, I’m in the fourth quarter of a football game now, alive and in showbiz. That’s just a fact,” Corbett said. “So I can now show that I have chosen the very wrong thing to do with my life.”
“Since I was a kid, I hate being tell[d] what to do by an authority figure. So, I chose to do something with my whole life to complement my work life, which is ‘Man, stand here, say this, hold that, look this way, speak fast, cut your hair this way,’” he continued.
Corbett received acclaim for his work on shows such as Northern Exposure, Sex and the City, and The United States of Tara, but he admits to feeling limited creatively.
