Korean high jumper Woo Sang-hyuk has climbed to No. 1 in the official world rankings after winning silver at the world championships last week.
According to the latest World Athletics Rankings on Friday, Wu topped the men’s high jump list with 1,388 points, followed by Italy’s Gianmarco Timbri with 1,377 points and Ukraine’s Andriy Protsenko with 1,332 points. stay on

He became the first Korean track and field athlete to be ranked top in any discipline sanctioned by World Athletics.
The No. 1 ranking came after Wu cleared 2.35 meters to finish runner-up at the World Athletics Championships held last week. He was just shy of Qatar’s Mo’taz Isa Barshim who won his third gold medal with a jump of 2.37m.
