Major decision in Brittany Higgins rape case handed down

The trial of the man accused of raping Britney Higgins has been delayed following a speech by Lisa Wilkinson acknowledging “unusual” logs.

Bruce Lehrmann has not confessed to raping Ms. Higgins inside Parliament House in 2019.

He was scheduled to appear in the ACT Supreme Court on Monday, June 27.

But lawyers representing Mr. Lehrmann succeeded in their request to delay the trial following the publicity surrounding Ms. Wilkinson’s speech.
