Sheridan Smith’s troubled West End musical, Opening Night, has been canceled two months early after being blasted by critics and audience members.
The show will now end its run at London’s Gielgud Theater on Saturday 18 May, two months earlier than originally planned on 27 July – as producers cited a ‘challenging financial landscape’ for the shock decision. Blamed.
Announcing the news on Thursday, the production team said the drama ‘may not have the life we hoped for’.
