Teenage dad-to-be killed in Easter Show stabbing farewelled
The last rites of the young father who was stabbed to death at Sydney’s Royal Easter show about a fortnight ago have been performed.
Uati “Pele” Faletolu was stabbed in the chest during a break from working on one of the rides at the event.
Dozens of black-clad loved ones gathered today at Hillsong Church in Balkham Hills, including his pregnant girlfriend.
The mourners wore Uati’s embellished shirt with the number 12 on it, which was on her football jersey.
A traditional hack was performed when the coffin of a 17-year-old boy was taken from the church, and in New Zealand the family served and released balloons.
