Photographer talks about not wearing ultra-short dress: Manisha tells past story

Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, a beauty from the 90s, recently shared an interesting incident from the early days of her career.

The Sri Lankan beauty gave an interview to Indian media where she spoke about the challenges faced by actresses during the 1990s.

Manisha Koirala recounted an encounter with a well-known male photographer who asked her to wear a short dress for a photo shoot.

She said, “At the beginning of my career, I was asked to go for a photo shoot where a renowned photographer was present. I went with my mother, and during the shoot, the photographer started saying things like, ‘You are the next superstar’ and so on.”

The actress continued, “He brought out a very small two-piece outfit and asked me to wear it. I told him I would only wear something like that if I was swimming or going to the beach.”

Manisha added, “I then told him that if this is the only way to get into films, I don’t want to enter the film industry, and I won’t wear it. I told the photographer to either shoot me in full clothes or I would leave.”

The actress said that later, when she became a star, she met the same photographer again, who then said, “I always knew you would become a star.”

It is worth mentioning that Manisha Koirala recently appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series “Heeramandi” on the streaming platform Netflix.
