William and Kate Making a pricey deal

Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly considering a significant change in their living arrangements, contemplating a move from their current Adelaide Cottage to the Royal Lodge.

Various sources indicate that King Charles has urged Prince Andrew to vacate his 30-room mansion due to the escalating expenses associated with its upkeep for the disgraced royal.

Speculations abound that the Prince and Princess of Wales are eyeing Andrew’s residence as a potential home for their expanding family. This comes at a time when Catherine, Princess of Wales, is recuperating from a ‘planned abdominal surgery’ in the hospital, adding to the urgency of finding a more spacious dwelling for the royal couple and their growing staff.

Insiders have hinted at William and Kate’s persistent efforts to secure the Royal Lodge, emphasizing their dire need for a more capacious property. According to a source previously quoted by Express.co.uk, “It’s no secret that William and Kate have been trying to secure Royal Lodge for their family. They are in desperate need of a larger property to accommodate their household.”

Contrary to these reports, royal author Robert Hardman, in his latest book, suggests that while the move “might happen,” it is not currently part of the couple’s planned agenda. Hardman notes that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are content in their current four-bedroom cottage, where they value the privacy and autonomy that comes with a more modest staff.

Nevertheless, an Express UK insider claims, “The wheels finally seem to be in motion to remove Andrew from the property, which William and Kate welcome and support wholeheartedly.”

The ultimate decision rests on whether Prince Andrew, determined to stay due to health concerns regarding his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, can meet the financial requirements outlined by the monarch. The Mirror previously reported that King Charles has given his disgraced brother a chance to prove his ability to cover the substantial costs of maintaining the residence. If Andrew were to vacate, William and Kate could find themselves responsible for covering the expenses of some extensive and costly repairs.
