A young Melbourne woman has tragically died on a Qantas international flight.

Manpreet Kaur, who dreams of becoming a chef, boarded a plane on June 20 ready to fly from Melbourne to the Indian city of Delhi.

It was supposed to be the first time in four years that she would see her family, but sadly she never got to.

According to a friend, the 24-year-old student reportedly “felt sick” hours before arriving at the airport but was able to board the flight without incident.

However, when she went to fasten her seatbelt, Ms Kaur apparently fell to the floor and “died on the spot”.
